This collaboration utilizes new battery cells from the NV Gotion plant under the Nuovo Plus Group to develop a commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage system platform.
Nuovo Plus Company Limited (Nuovo Plus), a leading energy solution provider specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ECUTEC Company Limited (ECUTEC), an expert in engineering and intelligent electronics system development. The partnership aims to co-develop the NV3.0 Energy Storage System by integrating new EV battery cells produced at the NV Gotion facility under the Nuovo Plus Group into a BESS platform for commercial and industrial applications.
Furthermore, NV3.0 serves as a pilot product paving the way for technology designed to repurpose used EV batteries into future second-life energy storage systems, with an absolute emphasis on safety and quality standards. The signing ceremony was witnessed by executives from both companies at ECUTEC’s headquarters in Samut Prakan Province.
The NV3.0 platform is designed for high flexibility and scalable capacity to meet diverse customer needs. It combines Nuovo Plus’s expertise in energy solutions and system integration with ECUTEC’s mastery of control system engineering and smart electronics to support a wide range of applications and future expansions. Upon completion of development, both companies plan to jointly market NV3.0 as a co-developed product.
The development of NV3.0 not only expands Nuovo Plus’s BESS technology portfolio for the business and industrial sectors, but also establishes a technological foundation and knowledge base for repurposing post-use EV batteries. Extending the battery lifespan maximizes resource efficiency across its entire lifecycle, driving sustainable growth in line with Circular Economy principles.
