Dr. Sakda Panwai, Managing Director of Don Muang Tollway PCL (DMT), revealed that the company is committed to clean energy and sustainable business practices. To reduce its carbon footprint and long-term energy costs, DMT has installed solar rooftop systems covering 1,814.76 square meters across its operations center and 9 toll plazas. With a total capacity of 0.39 MW, the system increases DMT’s clean energy ratio to 30%.
This year, DMT partnered with Nuovo Plus, a battery technology expert, to implement a 160 kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This system utilizes an AI-powered monitoring platform to synchronize power generation with consumption patterns. Additionally, DMT introduced Mobile Energy Storage units to provide emergency charging support for EV users on the Uttraphimuk Elevated Tollway.
Mr. Darunporn Kamolpus, Managing Director of Nuovo Plus Co., Ltd., stated that many Thai businesses are shifting toward clean energy. Nuovo Plus is dedicated to providing BESS solutions that enhance the stability and efficiency of renewable sources like solar power. This collaboration with DMT also includes providing mobile EV charging innovations as a “New Year gift” to the public.
DMT stands as the first tollway service provider to concretely promote greenhouse gas reduction and support the EV ecosystem, driving toward a truly sustainable, low-carbon future.
